How do I set up rules that file entries for me?

Write a rule. Rules read top to bottom and the first match wins, so yours decide before Pockito sorts anything itself. Every condition has to be true, so leaving one out makes a rule match more, not less. Rules come with Pro.

Where to find it Settings Rules

Write a rule

  1. Open Settings › Money › Rules and tap New rule.
  2. Under WHEN, set what has to be true: the text contains, the card or account ends with, the amount is at least or at most.
  3. Under THEN, set what happens: a category, the account to file it in, a name for the shop, treat it as a move, or ask you before saving.
  4. Decide whether it should also fix entries that already match. That's off by default.
  5. Tap Save rule.

When: what a rule can match

The text contains
Matched against what the bank actually wrote, not the tidied name.
Card or account ends
The last digits a bank text prints.
At least
Matches this amount or more.
At most
Matches this amount or less.

Then: what a rule can do

Category
Files it under the category you pick.
File it in
Puts it in the account you pick.
Call the shop
Gives the shop a clear name, like Fawry instead of a code.
Treat as a move
Records it as a move to another of your accounts.
Ask me before saving
Nothing is saved until you say so

What Pockito picks up on its own

Picked up from your corrections. No rule needed, and your rules above still come first.

Questions

Does a new rule change what I already filed?

Not unless you ask it to. A rule changes what comes next, not what you already filed.

Which rule wins if two match?

The higher one. Rules read top to bottom and the first match wins.
