Moving from YNAB? Bring your history with you
Export your plan from YNAB's web app, then open the register file in Pockito. It reads the date, payee, category, memo, account and the outflow and inflow columns, and shows every row to check before anything is saved.
Step 1 · In YNAB
Export from YNAB
- 1Open YNAB in a web browser; the export is on the web app only.
- 2Click your plan's name at the top of the sidebar and choose Export Plan.
- 3Unzip the download: the register file holds every transaction.
Step 2 · In Pockito
Open it in Pockito
- 1 Tap Import and pick a file.
- 2 Pockito detects the format. Nothing leaves your phone at this step.
- 3 Review: check how each account and category maps, create new ones if you need, and exclude any rows you don't want. Rows that look like something you already have are skipped by default.
- 4 Tap the import button. Pockito saves the rows and tells you if any were missing a date or an amount.
