How do I add my bank accounts, cards and cash?

Open Wallet and tap Add an account or asset. Pick the kind of account, because it changes what Pockito asks next and how it reads your bank's messages. Then name it, pick its currency and enter today's balance. Pockito counts forward from there. Free includes a few accounts; Pro removes the limit.

Add one

Open the Wallet tab and tap Add an account or asset.
Answer Where does this money live? by picking the kind of account.
For a bank account or a card, pick your bank and the card digits its texts print, so they land here.
Name it, pick its Currency and enter the Balance today.
Choose how it behaves with the switches below, then tap Create account.

The kinds of account

Cash: No bank messages. You log it yourself
Checking: Reads your bank SMS and app alerts
Savings: Kept out of what’s safe to spend
Credit card: Limit, statement date, due date
Mobile wallet: Wallet apps and mobile money
Prepaid card: Travel card, transit card, gift balance
Installments: Pay-later and store plans, and what’s left to pay
Money circle: Your turn and your payout month
Loan: Balance you’re paying down
Gold: Grams and karat
Investment: Manual value you update
Other: Name it yourself

How it behaves

Two of these decide whether your numbers tell the truth. You can change them later.

Part of Safe to Spend: Its balance counts toward what you can spend this month.
Active account: New entries land here when nothing says which account they came from.
ATM withdrawals become a transfer: Cash out of this account moves to your Cash wallet instead of counting as spending.
Alert me when it runs low: A quiet nudge, never a red warning.

How Wallet groups them

Spendable: Cash, bank accounts and wallets that count toward safe to spend.
Saving: Savings you keep out of what's safe to spend.
Assets: Gold and anything else you hold that changes value.
Owed: Credit cards, installment plans and loans: what you still have to pay.

Questions

Why does Pockito ask for the balance only once?

Pockito counts forward from here. Past messages you import won't move it.

Can each account have its own currency?

Yes, on every plan. A purchase in another currency is converted for your totals.

What does an account's detail screen show?

Its balance, a chart of the last 12 weeks, what moved in this period, and what the account does, like whether it counts toward safe to spend. Buttons let you adjust the balance, see the statement, transfer money, open its rules or pay a card.
